What's happening around here?

Hello readers.

We have commenced the last week of Autumn here in Tasmania. The weather is still lovely but cold. Each morning the heater is put on to take the chill off the air and today I plan to walk down town to do a few things. It's not raining and the sun is there somewhere among the clouds.

Recently we had a surprise appear before us when we looked out our window.

It is not spinning yet and we hope when it does it does not make too much noise!! (I am a light sleeper)

This is my first attempt at making a 'cup cover'.  I like to make sure nothing pops in my cup if I have to leave it. I have made a few more since, made some adjustments and happy with the results.

Over the past few weeks, I have been cleaning out my craft cupboards. Its taking me a while as I find I am finding things unfinished and setting in and doing them before I complete cleaning. I am having fun but I plan to seriously get all the cleaning done this week.

My current slippers had worn out and as I came across these squares I had done last year I completed them a few nights ago. My feet are cosy and warm.

The three of us are all well and happy. Until next time, enjoy life, and I am back to that cupboard.

Relocation...on the road again

When our daughter and new hubby returned from their honeymoon it was time to think about relocating them to their new place of residence. Because this move was interstate, the task ahead involved packing their little car and our car. The guys were great at packing and so they go into it and had it done in no time. The girls were busy putting things together for them, although the major part has been done previously by D3, and making sure nothing was left behind.

The front of our vehicle and a little room behind the seat was left for hubby and I to store our personal things. We took as little as possible and found that it worked well for us over the next few weeks.

We traveled together across beautiful countryside, armed with uhf's, and after a few days we arrived at our destination.

We spent the next couple of weeks finding a flat and helping the new couple to settle into a new community. Each of us found things to do and we had a load of fun.

The time came around for us to leave our family and hubby and I took a different route home. With an empty car it felt a little weird. We took advantage of the space and spread out our things....room for shopping!!!

Watch out for that cow!!

Back home and the house is a little empty...that's another story. Time for lunch....Dot
