We have been having a wonderful holiday. We have one week left to fill in with stuff before we head back home.
Hubby and I enjoyed our breakfast in a warmer environment at Lochiel just outside Adelaide.
The bridge you cross over as you enter Adelaide is very colourful. This is only a very short part of it.
The same day we arrived in Adelaide, D3 and I went to do the weekly shop and grabbed a cold frappe on the way to supermarket.
I love baby ducklings. My brother used to raise them on the farm when we were kids. We found some on our walk down by the pond.
My almond pancakes have been made here too.
It's late and time for bed. Goodnight ...Dot

We are having a wonderful time on holiday and welcome back to another addition of our adventures. We weren't long in WA when hubby and I had to visit Esperance for the day.
Poppi has enjoyed time with grand girls ...in the park
... Drone time
We attended the afternoon at the local show which finished with a fantastic display of fireworks.
After a big day I was happy to allow a beautiful little lady lean over to fall asleep on the long trip home. Awwh!!!
Hubby and I have woken early, or at least I have, and so we head off for a walk in the still morning air. Just gorgeous. We were out at 6am and it is easy to do. The sun is up very early which makes it easy to awaken.
Today we are back in South Australia on our way to Adelaide. We have travelled the Nullarbor and thoroughly enjoyed it. We called into The Bight along with many others. It is certainly a 'jaw dropper'.
Good night. We are off again tomorrow for some more adventures.
See you next week, thanks ...Dot

Hello and welcome back.
Hubby and I made it safely across the Nullarbor and found nice spots to settle to have our breakfast each day.
There were lots of big trucks on the road but even more caravans. We thought next time we should keep count. Unreal.
Wide open spaces.
Blow hole without action, we will call in again on the way back.
At play with the grand girls and feeling sore the next day.
I have been awake at 5am ish each day here in WA so morning walks have been 1st on the agenda and I am loving it.
Esperance is just gorgeous.
D1 is having a birthday today. I have made a cake and we will pull in rest of family for a Skype this afternoon. It's nice to be able to spend the day with her.
Until next week ... Keep smiling and having fun ... Dot

Hello. I'm here and just. Hubby has had to be a big help to put me in the right place so that I feel a little like I am at home on my laptop. I am here on my tablet and will endeavour to do a weekly report of our adventures on the road.
To start, or at least, try to get started on our way, the car would not go. We called in a friend who was just a phone call away who had jumper leads to assist and away we went.
We boarded the boat in Tasmania Thursday night, slept reasonably well in a port hole cabin and got away the next morning in Port Melbourne at 7am. It was freezing!!!
Our aim was Adelaide that day. The sun came out from behind the clouds at 10am.
We saw many blankets of bright yellow along the way.
It always seems on holiday we see or do new things. This was a Korean BBQ we attended in Adelaide with family and friends.
My tank was full hanging out with our new grand baby.
Today we left Adelaide and headed to Port Augusta.
I was knitting, next minute hubby was wondering what a police car was doing. I looked up to see a police car coming toward us, on our side of the road, lights flashing. I told hubby to get OFF the road!!!! Behind the police car was a maximum overload that took up the whole road. Another first for us.
Check in next week for our adventures 02 ... Dot 🙂

2 more sleeps
Hello. Thank you for popping by. It is only 2 more sleeps until we are off on a road trip to see family and more family. Next week you should see some beautiful pictures hubby and I have taken along the way. He will have to help me with the technology side of things to get the blog done as being on the road can be a little different to say the least.
It is tulip season here in Tasmania. As you drive up the coast if you look out you can see the beautiful paddocks full of different colours.
New in the recipe department are cheese muffins and carbonara sauce. I made it with red onion so it turned out a little grey. It was delicious though and before I served it the next time (as it made a huge batch), I fried some mushrooms and bacon and then added the sauce to heat though. Yummo. The base of the sauce, believe or not, is cauliflower and you wouldn't know.
Of course, the salmon was cooked our usual quick way. Fried in butter, seasoned, followed by a squeeze of lemon makes for a tasty piece of fish.
Hubby surprised me tonight and was home early to do some more 'things'.
This is a new colour yarn to make into beanies. I called into my little shop yesterday and the pile had depleted much. So I finished off one I had on the go and hope to get this new colour on the shelf tomorrow. It is a pretty blue-green with flecks of brown, bright teal and cream in it. Should knit up nice.
Until next week, keep well ... Dot :-)
