A good habit

If it's not raining, at least not too much, pop outside and go for a walk. It is good for the soul breathing in the fresh air and you never know what pics you can take on the way. The benefits are many!!!

Eat well. Yesterday I made a focaccia bread and we smothered it with butter and vegemite. MMM!!! Today for lunch we will enjoy leftovers toasted with scrambled eggs. 

Decorate your home a little for this season and Play cards with a special someone. 

And take time to smell the roses. They are everywhere here at the moment. All colours and sizes, some have fragrance others not. Just gorgeous to adore.

Clouds

No cloud is the same it seems. When you take the time to look up when you are outside I am sure you have to gasp at the wonder that our creator put into our skies anywhere in the world.

Gorgeous

Things that are gorgeous to us are different for everyone. It's that something that gets you to take a second look and then your insides warm to what you are admiring and you might even voice praise for the beauty before you. 

I was on a walk with D2 and next minute, there were 2 parrots beside us in the tree. I got the pic, then they flew away.

On looking out the window my camera got to work again and then off he flew.

This last week this man had a birthday. He is the same age as mwah now. 

So I have been spoiling him by making his favourite eats. Pies, cake and more cake. Today I am making a Low Carb Sponge cake. A new recipe and it is one of my favorites.

We had a night away last weekend. This was our view.

Long Weekend

It's November and the first weekend happened to be the long one so we had an extra day to do things. Hubby and I both have heaps of 'things to do' on our lists and managed to get some crossed off. 

Pic above ... I was doing my normal walk and there were 2 beautiful pelicans cruising along the river but I dare not go any closer as there were 2 dogs barking and carrying on so I kept my distance. Pity!

Something new I have incorporated into my kitchen is the use of Food Wraps. They work a treat and I am loving all the different colours and patterns. I buy mine from a 'pop up shop' at The Arty Duck ... You Big Stud.

When I remember of late, I check an app on my phone to see when it is high tide in my area. I had been missing it too many times and wanted to catch it. And here it is. It is nice doing the walk around the foreshore with the water right beside you. 

On Saturday morning we had a late breakfast with coffee in tow. Yummo!!

Silver

Good morning. My preference is silver and this week as I looked around me I could see it quite clearly.

All my jewelry is silver. Years ago I changed from gold to silver as silver suited my complexion much better. 

Recently I was gifted this pretty brooch. I haven't worn it yet but plan to soon. It even has knitting on the needles, how cute. 

Of course, I love to see silver shine and sparkle. I am always wiping the taps down and of course the coffee machine is a delight to keep clean.

Chocolate

Hello!!!

My 'go to' chocolate now is the No Sugar variety. It comes in many flavours and when on sale I stock up. It is nice to have with that afternoon cuppa and just to have a piece following a meal instead of having dessert as such.

When I go out I usually take some to enjoy to curb the hunger.

Of course, when we don't have chocolate we settle for chocolate brownie warmed with sour cream and fruit coulee. Very nice. 

Mud pies anyone?  Sludge, sludge!!!

Up the coast the tulips are out everywhere.

Bits

Good morning!!!

We must have had a frost overnight. It was chilly as early on. The suns out though and we are in for a beautiful day.

Have you ever done this with another? I noticed T-bone steak was on special and as it is a big piece of steak for one meal I decided to serve up on a plate to share with my hubby.
We sat up with steak knives and it was delicious. Saved a plate too!!

Hubby and I have had a few days away. 

These ducks were wondering along the path, when a family sat down at a table up the bank to have a meal together ... they immediately made their way to them and hung around waiting. They are funny to watch.

Off on their morning meander to find bits to eat. 

With the improvement of the weather, the campers are everywhere. Good on them!!!

And every time I go out I am sure to see a pretty display of spring colour.

Celebrations

It's an absolutely beautiful day today. 

D2 celebrated her birthday recently. 

We had pies and lemon flummery with strawberries.

I had a go at making Strawberry Creaming Sodas. They were so nice we are going to make them at Christmas. You just make up a strawberry syrup and put 2 tb in each glass along with ice cubes, soda water and 2 tb cream. 

This week I have made a couple of covered coat hangers. 

All I can say as usual is, enjoy life and keep smiling.

Clever

I am always amazed at the cleverness of those around me. I try to always give praise where it is due when I notice such things. My Heavenly Father always places new and interesting things in front of me and recently this bunch of spring flowers held a different and gorgeous display.

The Arty Duck where I volunteer as part of a team, have many sellers there who are very clever. Just take look at a few and you will see what I mean.

Vehicles of all sorts and sizes. The boys love them.

Work with egg shells of all shapes and sizes. Beautifully clever.

Lots of intricate work here. Very pretty.

These key-rings are so cute. Someone has a steady hand.

This pop of colour is a delight to see. The variety of colours and sizes is spectacular.

On a walk lately I noticed this bright pop of spring colour. It is certainly a nice time of year.

The sun is out, a daughter has a birthday today, so we are going for a walk together.
